Our Treatment Options

Adjustments

Adjustments, also known as manipulations, are the most well-known type of chiropractic treatments. These involve manually adjusting the vertebrae in the spine to restore alignment. Misalignment can occur for various reasons, including trauma, repetitive stress, strain or a condition like scoliosis. It can affect various facets of the body, including the surrounding muscles and the central nervous system.

In addition to causing pain and inhibiting mobility, misaligned vertebrae can impact overall health and prevent us from functioning optimally. A chiropractor will use hands or an instrument to gently push the vertebrae back into place. The process is quick and does not cause any discomfort.

Laser Therapy

Laser therapy is one of the latest innovations in chiropractic treatment. It uses low-intensity lasers to deliver light energy to cells in the affected area of the body, stimulating the cells’ metabolism. This enhances the body’s natural healing processes, addressing the underlying issue while alleviating symptoms like pain and inflammation.

A chiropractor can use laser therapy to treat numerous conditions, including but not limited to:

  • Back, neck, knee & shoulder pain
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Arthritis
  • Neuropathy
  • Spinal stenosis
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Auto injuries
  • Slip & fall injuries
  • Post-surgical pain
  • Sports injuries

Soft Tissue Treatment Techniques

Soft tissues, which include muscles, ligaments, and tendons, can be subject to stress, strain, sprains or tears as a result of poor posture, repetitive use or trauma. Although exact chiropractic treatments vary, depending on the condition’s nature and scope, typical solutions for soft tissue injuries include massage, active isolated stretching and the Graston method. As with all our methods, the objective is to relieve pain and discomfort, while accelerating healing and restoring function.

Physical Therapy

As a chiropractor with physical therapy privileges, Dr. Davis also provides a range of physiological therapies. These include:

  • Ultrasound
  • Electrical muscle stimulation
  • Interferential therapy
  • Mechanical traction
  • Cervical & lumbar decompression therapy
  • Moist heat therapy
  • Functional capacity evaluation

Other Chiropractic Treatments

We also provide additional services. For example, our physical therapy techniques include posture correction, ergonomics guidance, nutrition counseling, exercise counseling and more.
